Job Summary:
Reporting to the Board Director and in line with Girls on the Greater Charlotte’s mission, the Development and Fundraising Manager is responsible for developing the foundation to support the management of fundraising streams and community partnerships. The main activities of this role include; management of individual and corporate donations, responsible for fundraising between individuals and companies, management and writing of grants and planning of events. They will coordinate fundraising efforts to increase contributed revenue that will support our program and the entire organization. This leader has the skills and drive to create systems and procedures, meet and exceed contributed revenue goals, and can work with other departments to advance the organization’s mission.

Responsibilities:
• Create organizational financial resources through a variety of fundraising efforts; develop new revenue streams and maintain current revenue streams
• Work alongside the Board Director in the development and execution of the annual development plan and organizational strategic plan
• Collaborate with staff, board and committees to lead important campaigns and fundraising activities
• Develop data analysis reports for monitoring the development strategy
• Achieve contributory revenue goals set by the organization
• Manage the working group and help build the framework for a successful implementation and data migration to a new CRM platform
• Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising events
• Manage relationships with community partners to advance the organization’s mission
• Identify, manage, solicit and mentor established and potential donors, advocates, champions and sponsors
• Generate thank you letters and donation receipts for individual and corporate donors
• Create donor messages and execute appeals, including electronic solicitations and printed materials, maintain and update mailing lists, and execute mailings
• Lead the peer-to-peer fundraising program for individual and corporate athletes
• Record all activities in the CRM software
• Create and maintain digital fundraising campaigns
• Other ad hoc development tasks as needed by the organization

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or comparable educational/work experience
• Located in the greater Charlotte area
• 2+ years of experience in database management
• 2+ years of fundraising and/or grant writing experience
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, Gmail, Microsoft Office Suite
• Proven fundraising success
• Ability to manage volunteer grant writers
• Network in local philanthropy
• Important links with the local community
• Access to reliable transportation and ability to travel locally within the greater Charlotte area (mileage reimbursement applicable). Domestic travel possible once a year

Benefits and Compensation:
This is a full-time exempt position offering annual compensation of $49,000 to $51,000, depending on experience.
