The Jamestown Community Foundation has awarded a grant of $ 4,500 to the Jamestown Gymnastics Club to help them with their Raise the Roof renovation project. The walls of the building were enlarged, the ceiling was raised to meet the gymnastics requirements of the high school, and the facility was made more wheelchair accessible. The trampoline has been placed in the ground so that those who use a wheelchair can experience rebounds.
The goal of the organization is to provide students with the opportunity to develop physical benefits such as strength, flexibility, coordination and agility to help them not only be successful in gymnastics but also in any other sport or activity. . The Gymnastics Club partners with the Anne Carlsen Center and Alpha Opportunities to also offer special needs programs. Its regular programs include Parents & Toddlers, Preschool, Recreational, Home School, Competition, Ninja, Show Team, and High School Gymnastics.
