OSWEGO – Oswego Health said the Wound Healing Center was recently recognized nationally for its commitment to patient care.

Oswego Hospital physicians, leaders and clinicians gathered to celebrate the Robert A. Warriner III, MD Clinical Excellence Award, which was presented to the Oswego Health Wound Healing Center. This center was ranked among the top 10% of the best Healogics® Wound Care Centers eligible on the measure of clinical excellence, which is the overall healing rate weighted by the mixture of wounds. The center has been awarded this prestigious honor by Healogics, the largest provider of advanced wound care services in the country. This award is named after Dr. Robert A. Warriner III, pioneer in wound care and former chief genealogy physician.

In addition, the Center for Wound Healing was also the recipient of the Center of Distinction. The center has achieved outstanding clinical results for twelve consecutive months, including patient satisfaction rates above 92% and a minimum healing rate of at least 92% within the median 28 days to heal. There were 555 centers eligible for the Center of Distinction award and 278 achieved this honor.

“These two awards speak volumes about the level of care provided at the Wound Healing Center,” said Duane Tull, Chief Medical Officer. “We are fortunate to be able to offer this service locally and we could not be more proud of our team.”
