The Townsend Hotel’s Rugby Grille restaurant received a Best Award of Excellence – Evaluation of both glasses with Wine Spectator magazine. This is the sixth consecutive year receiving this prestigious award.

The Wine Spectator’s Restaurant Awards recognize restaurants whose wine lists offer interesting selections, are suited to their cuisine and appeal to a wide range of wine lovers. To qualify for this award, a restaurant wine list must present complete and accurate information, including vintages and appellations for all selections.

The Rugby Grille has won this award every year since 2016 and has 425 selections and over 3,000 bottles of wine in its inventory.

“I am very proud of the work and commitment of our incredible team of Rugby Grille sommeliers to maintain a world class wine list,” said Steven Kalczynski, General Manager of the Townsend Hotel. “They always improve our selections, and each time they continue to amaze our clientele and passing guests. The staff continually strive to be a destination for a memorable dining and wine experience.

The award program includes more than 3,500 award-winning lists from more than 70 countries and 50 states.
