Sam Duplessis: New Director of Development at Penn Libraries

Sam Duplessis joined the Penn Libraries as Director of Development. Mr. Duplessis leads the promotional staff and can work to advance the libraries fundraising program in help of its strategic plan.

Since November 2017, Mr. Duplessis has been the Regional Director of Main Presents on the Wharton Faculty. On this position, he labored with Wharton alumni, associates and kin throughout the Southeastern United States to boost over $ 5 million. He has additionally partnered with colleagues at Wharton and Penn to supply the annual Administration 610 Alumni Program and develop new avenues of engagement with the Wharton World Youth Program and different pre-college companions.

Previous to coming to Penn, Mr. Duplessis was a Senior Donation Officer at Bryn Mawr Faculty and the Director of the Alumni Faculties Committee and Affiliate Director of Admissions on the College of Chicago. An avid artwork collector and supporter of the humanities, he’s a previous member of the Board of Trustees of the Middle for Rising Visible Artists, and has been a visitor lecturer and curator on the Delaware Modern Artwork Museum. He holds a BA in Music Schooling from Ohio Wesleyan College and an MA in Choral Conducting from the New England Conservatory.
